Obviously it's been a while since this site has been updated. Due to several circumstances we had to put our adoption process on hold. We have just picked up the process again and are very excited! We met our social worker yesterday and she is an awesome person. We have re-submitted our application w/updated info as well. We met w/Cassie (our sw) because she wanted to go over the new guidelines that China has now which went into effect in May and thankfully we met all of them. Now we will begin about a three month process of paperwork and will hopefully begin the homestudy in February. If all goes smoothly hopefully we will have our dossier ready to send to China in March. Right now the wait time from LID (log-in date) to referral of a child is two years. There is a possibility of that time frame getting shorter due to the new guidelines knocking so many families out of being eligible to adopt from China. Please join us in prayer that the wait times will decrease. We are totally stepping out on faith with this adoption. God told us to do it so we are being obedient to His calling. We have total faith that He will provide!
Do not fear, for I am with you; I will bring your offspring from the east, and gather you from the west. (Isaiah 43:5)

Hi to all! We have started this blog to keep family and friends up to date on our adoption process. This is a decision we have made recently that God laid on our hearts almost two years ago. It's a decision that we have not come to lightly, but really, how could we not answer this calling? I know to some it may seem crazy since we already have three children. We get "the look" at times from people who must be thinking this. But we absolutely LOVE being parents and feel that this is our gift and what better way than to share this gift with one of God's own who needs a family? I read the following from another couple in the process of adopting from China as well and it really says it all...
"Will it be costly? Yes. But it will mean a little girl will have a home, she will be sought after and given a name and a future. Her future will include learning about the one that was willing to give up everything to adopt her and that’s more important than what we will sacrifice."
What Now? By Steven Curtis Chapman
I saw the face of Jesus in a little orphan girl. She was standing in the corner on the other side of the world. And I heard the voice of Jesus gently whisper to my heart, "Didn’t you say you wanted to find me? Well, here I am, here you are-
So, What now? What will you do now that you found Me? What now? What will you do with this treasure you’ve found? I know I may not look like what you expected, But if you’ll remember, this is right where I said I would be. You’ve found me. What now?"
